JK2006 Well Walter the total budget for the movie was £10,000.

I was able to do that as we own the rights in all the songs, writing, composing and publishing.

And my actors were very cheap!

We've sold several hundred DVDs so far but my hope is that it will grow over the years.

Distributors are sniffing around to take on the DVD rights - let's see.

Yes, the catalogue has seen a hefty increase in sales, especially the new tracks - iTunes are very happy indeed.

The online project cost virtually nothing - nasty scare when the huge bandwidth use looked like meaning we'd have to buy more but it's settled down.

However, we need more internet links from other sites to keep the word-of-mouth going.

From thousands a day it's now down to hundreds a day.
Walter Sobchak So tell us the economics of this cinematic exercise JK.

22,000 people have watched a film for free. How much did it cost to make? Have you sold DVD rights to a distributor? Has your catalogue seen significant increase in sales from some of the 22k downloading varios songs? How much has it cost you?
JK2006 It was only down for two hours I gather (during which time other sites like Daily Motion got dozens of views) and should be OK now - the quantity of views and/or downloads has been phenomenal; more than the server has ever seen.

Not because of the number (just over 22,000 in 2 months) but because almost everyone has stayed watching for the entire 96 minutes (or, obviously, downloaded it in full).

So it has blocked up the server much more than people just logging onto You Tube for a few minutes.

Terrific, flattering and pleasing.

JK2006 The server seems to have crashed - "too many connections", it says - over 22,000 in 2 months.

Hopefully it will be up again in minutes but temporarily we suggest you go on Daily Motion and watch it there.

Many other sites have downloaded it and put it up on their sites direct. Which is fine by me; it is free to watch, free to download and spreading fast as the word of mouth grows.
