JK - yes the media as a whole is not corrupt. It is the levers within the media which are driving the media towards these goals. I think we need to realise that because many good people work in the press and media.
The problem as far as I can see it is that some very powerful people in our societies are using the media to spread fear. Governments react with restricting our freedoms. The end conclusion will be a society which is totally "unfree" where Databases control what you can and cant do. Where Gated communities sit next to sink estates - the UK seemed to have moved to a meritocratic society in the 70s and 80s.....but that seems to have been reversed by the current Government in the name of FEAR !!
Constant pumping of FEAR ( Terrorism - Pandemics - Bird Flu - Foot and Mouth - Climate Change ) with the MEDIA following this agenda.
FEAR is bad - FEAR eats away at peoples' souls....FEAR is the opposite of LOVE ( Hate is something you engender in people through frightening them )
