I was reminded of this when I was asked to look after an old Aunt I detested-no-one else in the family would. I did my duty and once reamrked to her doctor how awful and nasty she could be and that I hated the idea of growing old like her. He replied-it's nothing to do with age..she's probably been a nasty sod all her life..a nasty little girl, nasty middle-age woman-a nasty old pensioner !
