FAB Chart - to boldly go where others fail to Glitter - 2008/08/30 11:00
The main talking point for this week's chart will no doubt be the inclusion of Gary Glitter at Number 20. Will any other charts dare to acknowledge an interest in his music? Well .. the Fab Chart does say "Putting music first", and it looks as though they are living up to that. 'Through the Years' is a good song.
I also wonder if the people who object to his inclusion will click the link to listen to the song - out of curiosity? It will be their choice alone.
Other new entries include Jackson Cook at 3 with a song about hurricane Katrina. Well crafted and delivered.
Jillian Goldin at 12. Wow! This has a real good atmosphere. Hauntingly beautiful.
Holes and Hearts are a teen duo with a kind of metal ballad called 'Are we done yet?'. I like it, and I think Kurt Cobain would have too.
King Lover 1t 17. No, not a lover of JK (I think). I found this a bit like one of the more weird auditions at the X Factor. His voice goes all over the place, but it shows an amazing range. It takes some getting used to but there is a touch of quality in there among the chaos.
2nd week at Number One for Carlos Bertonatti. Indian Summer drops to 4. Detox Cute climb to 6.
Some very good sounds.
