flaming groovies - 2006/02/20 11:03 Another band my Dad went on about. I did not know what to expect from them. As soon I put the CD in my player I heard a short riff of Shake it all right. the song blew me away. they have done many covers of Rolling Stones, Beatles, Ike and Tina Turner and Bob Dylan.

When my dad heard he asked other people if they knew them. they didn't they are not well known in Britain but have got a following in America.

Check them out - take a gamble, buy a CD. JK could do a cover of their songs; they are that good.

Dave Edmunds produced them

Re:flaming groovies - 2006/02/20 12:01 "Shake Some Action ", by the Flaming Groovies, is an absolute classic. the original came out, during the punk reveloution in 1977/78, but the best version was a complete re-recording for ABC records and recorded by Peter Noble in 1987.
There you go! Do I win my pub quiz trivia prize for that one?
