It won't work for everyone. Take That had good material. On the other hand, maybe they just need to adapt, as per Cliff and the Bee Gees who kept their original fans and gained new ones from new generations. The key thing is depth of talent. I'm not sure that McFly have what it takes. I'm also not sure that a Number One single proves much today. As with many others, time will tell. I hope they've saved or invested some of their money; they might need it fall back on in the future.
