I was told that Waxie read 65 My Life So Far on publication and also watched Vile Pervert: The Musical the moment it hit the airwaves (what is the Internet equivalent of airwaves?).
Sadly Maxie has no sense of humour whatsoever. So I suspect the nuances rather passed him by.
I had several friends at Littlehey. Indeed much of my letter writing was to inmates in other prisons which, at the time, provoked great disturbances in the prison estate. At one point I was advised not to do it (rings, you see). I replied that when I made friends I believed in keeping in touch with them. I'm still in regular touch with my friend Peter (drug smuggler - no sex there) who was the Editor of The Insider (our Maidstone based magazine which was distributed to thousands including politicians, media, police and judges). I was his Deputy.
I'm sure Maxie will have a lovely time in prison. If he has the right attitude. People tend to assume it's the outside environment that matters. It's not. It's how you cope internally that matters; and how you relate to others, something I was able to convey to numerous fellow prisoners.

I hope JK, you have sent him a (signed) copy of your book 65:My life so far - it would cheer him up as well as giving him some good tips on how to survive prison - making international calls via a redirect on your office phone was a classic!

Little Hey is a 5 star hotel compared to the Onslow wing. A very quick move to Cat C, most quick moves are for your wonderfull police officers and such as it is one rule for one !
