And even more so, why didn't these "girls" come forward following the computer images or 1999 ex-girlfriend/newspaper set-up or the Vietnam stuff? They didn't, so what was their problem, back then? Beggars belief.

MWTWATCHER	How will he be able to get a fair trial, GUILTY until proven innocent in any sexual court case.
Chris Retro	Paul Gadd was arrested due to the allegations made by Karin Ward of fictional orgies with Jimmy Savile & Freddie Starr at BBC TVC on Clunk Click. Ward, born in 1958, was widely reported as being 14 in March/April 1974. Clunk Click was filmed at the BBC Shepherd's Bush Theatre not TVC. Gary Glitter & Freddie Starr did not appear together on the same edition of Clunk Click. None of those three indisputable facts seemed to bother The Metropolitan Police, not even the BBC who issued suicidal apology immediately. Whatever one thinks of Mr Gadd, or indeed Chris Denning, is it another sinister legal development here at play. Give a dog a bad name, it would seem, and it doesn't matter a joy as to whether or not the criminal turns over a new leaf or not - they will keep coming after you with historic allegations and, what with good character and reputation seeming to be the main defence in court, are effectively unable to defend themselves adequately. So the short initial sentence becomes effectively a life sentence. Lying low and keeping out of trouble isn't good enough anymore.
