In The Know (as always)
Opinion wrote: John Pilger first made the film 'Palestine Is Still The Issue' in 1977. It told how almost a million Palestinians had been forced off their land in 1948, and again in 1967.
Twenty five years later, in 2002, John Pilger returned to the West Bank of Jordan and Gaza, and to Israel, to ask why the Palestinians, whose right of return was affirmed by the United Nations more than half a century ago, are still caught in a terrible limbo - refugees in their own land, controlled by Israel in the longest military occupation in modern times.
Yes, and the lies and disinformation continue !
This state is just 27 miles long and about 3 miles wide, and a population of appx 1.8 million (thats over 13,000 people per sq mile - making it one of the most densely populated areas on earth).
Despite this we get media stories like this -
On Saturday, the Israeli military said troops discovered 13 tunnels into Israel in the first 24 hours of its ground operation in Gaza.
It also said it has hit 2,350 targets in Gaza, including 1,100 rocket launchers,
1.100 rocket launchers in such a small area (and these were only the ones "found") ? Utterly ridiculous ! - quite absurd

"The Israeli military conducted at least four ground incursions into Gaza and about 90 airstrikes, said Jeffrey Feltman, the U.N. undersecretary general for political affairs, in a briefing Friday to the U.N. Security Council.
Good to see that Pope Francis has been in touch with Mahmood Abbas (telling that God is on their side, no doubt) and that demos (not reported - why not?) have been happening around the world outside "Israeli" embassies.
