And we now need to be told just what he was "disciplined for" in the 1990s when he WAS a serving police officer. If it has anything to do with relationships to witnesses or victims, the sky could fall in.

bizarre to think he is allowed to view it and I know of no law that allows police to exempt anyone for any reason.
As far as I know only judges or defending lawyers may be allowed to view images on behalf of the accused and it's strictly controlled so other court officials don't view it.

I cannot see how tgis man is allowed to carry on doing what he does, he and another Met officer have been calluding on the arrange to meet arrests ( which will be an Expos'e in the future, Mark my words.
Now MWT views this material in non controlled conditions, the MET paedo officers have a very secure controlled environment in which they find images/moving images of child abuse and srike uponline dealing as part of the final arrest of suspects, again in a fully controlled way with more than one officer infact 3 i think, MWT does not, he should not be viewing such material but of course he justifys this as any downloader may in the name of reseach.
His day is coming and I hope I am there to see his feathers RUSSELED , yes not ruffled.

The BIG ask is. Why do so many suspect characters now lineup to fill such 'jobs'. In plain sight, and with endless 'homework' ?
In the summer of 2011, self-appointed ‘child protection expert’, Mark Williams Thomas, travelled to Interpol HQ in Lyon France where he clearly committed an act of incitement by allowing, or requesting, or encouraging, an official to show him a video of a five year old girl being sexually assaulted and then by participating in the viewing of some further videos, or stills, of babies being sexually abused.
This clear record of the flouting of the law is actually recorded for all to see and was since broadcast on the BBC. As the camera does not show the images being viewed, it is safe to watch this flagrant breach of the law here.
This evidence is now offered openly to the UK police, who ruined thousands of men and their families for far less. It will be left to the hundreds of men and their families, ruined by the conviction for incitement under Operation Ore, to decide for themselves how they feel about such flagrant disregard for the same law.
