Indeed, hedda ... we used to have principled / conviction politicians, now they all simply follow the party "line" (You don't think Labour politicians actually believe the trash that Silliband spouts, do you?)

And of course the Tories leaving or deserting the sinking ship!...But don't worry, the Looney Libs gave away all the lifeboats to all the criminal Immigrants they encouraged by their supported policies. ...In fact after David lost Scotland deliberately, and the falling Liberal support I bet the Parliamentary Libs would all fit into a Lifeboat just perfectly.

Even Churchill was not above actually changing parties if he felt out of step with the policy - nowadays they just keep their head down for awhile (which is probably why most people cannot name more than a handful of MPs?)
Watcher Very true, Hedda
hedda there was once a time when Parliament was full of MPs like Galloway..in every party.

VictimsOfLies Following the recent physical-assault on George Galloway, the Respect MP has thanked the thousands who have sent messages of goodwill. His office in parliament has been inundated with cards, flowers, emails and messages on social media wishing him well.

The response from the public is completely at odds with the response from parliament, which has been curiously silent on the matter. It leads one to wonder if the story might have been addressed at Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday morning had the attack been committed by a Muslim fanatic on a pre-eminent pro-Israel MP. I think we already know the answer to that...
