JK2006 I feel very strongly that, in the light of recent events, the author everyone should read is not Orwell but Swift and Gulliver's Travels; it really illustrates the Yahoos (oops sorry) current Human Species and their attitudes (BigEndians?).

One of the reasons I'm in favour of wider European union and more is that then the very best (very few) have charge over much more and are more likely to get it right. Germans, for example, appear far better at economics than we Brits - so allow them control over finances.

If the Germans are so good at economics why are they in the Euro?..and why does their economy, and that of the euro keep going into recession at a time of worldwide economic boom?
Pru It doesn't help that most politicians, let alone journalists, clearly don't understand the concept of federalism, and certainly don't understand how flawed it is. Until they do, they shouldn't move ahead at all.

I can't be fucked reading about it anymore and neither should anyone else.
