I disagree.
And I've spent most of my life in the media on all sides which I've come to hate and especially the majority of those who work in it who are vacuous, none too bright, gullible & share sociopathic tendencies which I believe is now - not a requirement - but a sort of human trait where like attracts like.
## one thing I have learned ( after a 4 year legal battle with a genuine psycopath- won by me)..is that society is riddled with psychopaths / sociopaths (shrinks have said it for years) in varying degrees- and I think the media attracts more than other professions...hence the ability to have no qualms in destroying people, guilty or innocent.
As opposed to the Law which attracts more empathetic type people
It takes a strange type of person who can divorce themselves from their 'humanity' and participate in destroying others lives in print. (I would have gone so much further if I had been similar & thank God I had other ways of surviving)
It's pleasing to see tabloid media taken down a few pegs- they have utterly crucified far more people than they aided : indeed the UK's media (led by You Know Who from Oz) have perverted the entire concept of newspapers.
## and they are spat out at a great rate- just this year one TV hack who sat in on the Harris trial and presented a skewered version to Oz audiences that included implying Harris was using his age- at frigging 85 years old- to take breaks (ordered by the judge ) during questioning to "avoid difficult questions". Not another hack said similar , it was personal partisan opinion.
His payment : paid off the minute he got back to Oz by being sacked along with most of the 'News' Team & can't get a job at 35. Welcome to the real world.
## disagree also that going through rubbish was legal. A couple of court cases decided it wasn't and was theft with people disposing rubbish having an expectation of privacy.

As I've said since it started - everybody was doing it, who cares? Some papers were better at concealing it or did "legal" hacking - but they all used north methods to get stories (which were legal years ago and some remain legal to this day - going through bins, for example).
Stop moaning celebs, stop spending millions police and politicians, stop wasting millions on court trials and spend the money saved by getting medics to fight the Ebola war.
