JK2006 The story of reversing the river in Chicago to take all their sewage is fascinating - as is their latest way of getting rid of shit!
JK2006 One of the things I love about it is Portillo's love of rail travel; I agree; far nicer than ghastly air travel (though I've not been dragged off a plane - yet). I think Pure Hell might be described as an airport, with Security as minor devils. I do miss the overnight sleepers to the South of France - waking up to fresh French coffee, croissants on board to the sight of the blue Mediterranean is one of the great pleasures of my 72 years.
JK2006 Just missing the Entertainment from the USA but he's a much better presenter than I was; it's a terrific series; fascinating.
