JK2006 My first trial began with Jury selection. I was wrongly convicted of crimes against five people, all of which had never happened, let alone been done by me. A few months later my second trial started - at which I was acquitted of all charges and declared firmly by Judge David Paget NOT GUILTY. He ordered three further trials to be abandoned and instructed the prosecution to drop all other claims. He then sentenced me to seven years (far longer than the 2-3 years guidelines) because of "all previous sexual behaviour". At my appeal in 2003 my QC Nigel Sweeney (now a top Judge - who tried Rolf Harris) argued that the sentence should not have treated the Guilty verdicts as a sample; the Judges agreed with him but allowed my sentence anyway. I served 3.5 years.
