JK2006 Terrific directors or writers or producers of films I’ve loved; Hitchcock, Spielberg, Mike Leigh, all pretty obvious. And I really liked the Coen Brothers. Fairly recently I became a huge fan of the McDonagh Brothers. In Bruges is possibly my favourite film of the Century so far and I loved The Guard, for which Brendan Gleeson should have won the Best Actor Oscar. Three Billboards is sensational. They have a very strange sense of humour and see lots of light in darkness. No surprise that, like the Coens in Fargo, they find Frances McDormand an inspiration. Few things are certain. Death, Taxes and Frances winning Best Actress Oscar 2018. Hopefully Three Billboards will also win Best Film.
