In The Know John Trot was quite good on Peston last night
... managed to stay (just !) on the right side of public opinion (not as stupid as Commie Corbyn) but still a complete Loony !

The Putin will win his election (LOL !) - the Loonies will NEVER win in Britain.

Attempts by the Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov - and others - to offer alternative theories do little to divert suspicion.

Lavrov's latest offering, that "enemies of Russia" are trying force England's withdrawal from Russia's World Cup, was airy and cack-handed. What Lavrov and co are not doing - and what they will not do - is deal with the evidence.

This brazen attack in Salisbury fits a well-established pattern. You can follow the trajectory of hostility that takes in Russia's actions in Georgia, the annexation of Crimea, the war in Ukraine and Syria and the elimination of dissidents like Litvinenko.

Their well-documented programme of international cyberwar generates political turbulence in the west.

A couple of days ago, in an interview with American network NBC, President Putin gave the world an excellent idea of the thinking behind it.

"When (the Americans) claim that some Russians interfered in the US elections we tell them - and we did so recently at a very high level - 'but you are constantly interfering in our political life'. Can you imagine? They don't even deny it. You know what they told us last time? 'Yes, we do interfere. But we are entitled to do it because we are spreading democracy'."

It is a revealing passage because Vladimir Putin isolates the threat - and that threat is democracy. The existence of core western concepts, like free elections and the rule of law, are a menace to his administration and he has shown that he is prepared to try to save others challenged by opposition politics - think Bashar al-Assad for example.

PB Absolutely pathetic.

Why don't you start your own thread and see if anyone is interested instead of jumping on someone elses and going off topic??
In The Know makes people think and see both sides of the story.
Spee Awww - still can't quote one figure!

A good morning to you, even though it's night over there,it's a thirty plus morning here.

Good morning Pete ... well its not here ! "Feels like -8", windy, and heavy snow expected !!!

I know what you mean though ...
I NEVER reply to trolls, stalkers, thread-hijackers and the plainly stupid - why should I?
No one takes any notice of his posts - and no one ever replies to them ... just shows how thick they are, doesn't it?
I'm just astonished that they seem determined to "show off" their stupidity in public ... lol !
