Just read this article and some of the false accusations are so bizarre...... My goodness, they are nothing compared to ours, e.g.the one quoted about the date of the Billy Graham rally being wrong, we've dozens of rediculous dates like that, all proved wrong. It'll make you weep. I wish the Police would've had the same doubts for us like they did with the likes of "David" for the other accused celebrities.

Stone me. Billy Graham Crusades are easy to cross reference the dates. There are numerous books and websites with the information about them. Even God Channel in America show reruns on them.

I did attend several off them despite being an atheist, it was for my children sake. Yet you couldn't help being enthralled by him or his stage presence.

I have witnessed the hecklers being converted at the end.

I still read his books because they are fascinating and you're still entitled to make up your mind.

I was there when Jimmy Swaggart was crying because off his sex scandal. I still don't know how I stopped myself from laughing to this day.

Yet Jimmy, is a saint compared to Benny Hinn and Peter Popoff.
Jo At last. Hope they don't drop this but keep digging. Pity that even they stop short of suggesting that Jimmy Savile, Rolf Harris and Max Clifford might also have been innocent of the allegations against them, but perhaps they can't be seen to stick out their neck too far if they want to seem credible.

I'm surprised that lawyers for Max Clifford can appeal for him posthumously. I wouldn't have thought that was possible.
JK2006 No nothing bitter sweet; my revenge was the moment the court heard about his tiny dick; I genuinely didn't want it to go any further and certainly not to cause his death. My interest at present is in getting the CCRC to send my wrongful convictions back to the CofA and then to get them overturned - and MWT has been (unintentionally) very helpful in that.
Anonymous There always was going to be a backlash. An idea gained currency that people should be condemned on allegation alone without evidence and that doing anything else was being on the side of abusers. It may be that this idea is fading now, although just when it looks like it will another scandal breaks.

The article does make reference to an appeal on Max Clifford's behalf next month. So I suppose the article as a whole may prove a bit bittersweet for Johnathan if the appeal is successful. If you have ever read the Clifford's ghost written book, he explicitly admits serious misconduct. He boasted about using the casting couch-promising acting roles in return for sexual favours. This is disgusting behaviour that should be illegal (although it isn't) but not the same as the allegations that were actually made against him. Something to bear in mind if his posthumous appeal is successful.
