Barney Ironically, it's only two years since Barack Obama was vehemently supported the Paris Agreement - saying that it would be the 'turning point' in the fight against global warming.

Republicans are obviously more business orientated - and less affected by the recent natural disasters, and those such as the Exxon Valdez.

Democrats - like Obama and Clintons - take a broader view, on the big picture. Perhaps to some political cost - but not forgetting that the world's current inhabitants are only its temporary custodians.

Barney Only this October, the Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) reported to the UN that the world had only 12 years to limit its temperature rise to 1.5°c.

The warning signs can't be missed:-

Rising sea levels

Extreme temperatures

Ice cap melting

Polluted seas and rivers

Decline in wild life etc.

Calling this a hoax is laughable, but continuing to increase pollution and gas emissions regardless - is criminal...

Mr Trump has described climate change as a hoax - and doesn't see it as part of his America First initiative

Giving US corporations, oil mainly, free reign to continue and intensify their pollution of the atmosphere

With China (who have signed the agreement), the US accounts for 40% of toxic matter generated

Trump is right in the sense that there are a lot of contradictory "studies" about climate change, and of course, the purpose of the big businesses that have grown around is to make money for the big businesses, but that doesn't mean the whole thing is a lie, and to dismiss it outright seems a bit extreme.
He appears to have very black and white thinking.
