JK2006 It is heavily stacked against the poor bull but there have been times (including in the film I was watching - Pandora and the Flying Dutchman) where the bull wins.
honey!oh sugar sugar. If they didnt disable the bull, so it cant win, I might like to see it!

Green Man Is it still on TV in Spain?

I can't fathom why they set fire to the bills horns in some events either?

Again humans are the worst animals on the planet.
Silent Minority Sick and twisted sport.....even when the bull wins.
Too many years ago now to mention I used to drink with the Matadors and staff at a little bar in Nîmes, just behind the Bull Ring....always Pastis in a carafe, jug of water next too it...was still shown last year on Spanish TV...a group of us English left a bar empty when he insisted on showing it on the big screen in Casares...
Barney Was on a Sunday morning walk in Seville recently - and passed what looked like a small football stadium.

Then realised, from the posters, that a bullfighting event was in progress - with a large audience.

Another time, I was in Andalucia and visited the Bullfighting Museum in Ronda - up in the mountains.

No longer used for bullfights - the arena was the set for the movie, 'Carmen'.

Haven't seen the movie.

But the opera had a bullfighting background.
