Johnny I have seen a lot of people say that Mike Leander was the one who was the big gun on the early gitter hits, but always had my doubts, i mean Mike wrote a lot of songs for Gary in the 1960s, but none were hit's, until Gary started co-wrigthing the songs with him. Neither did he find another act near the stature of Gary Glitter (the closest he came was with the backing groups own chart records). I mean, I don't know who did what exactly, I wasn't there when songs such as "Leader Of The Gang" or "Hello, Hello, I'm Back Again" were written and recorded, but personally I suspect both men made great input into the music.
Godiver You are joking right?

You seriously believe that looking at pictures of children being sexually abused is ok?

author oooooooooooooooh you cant say that, anyone would think
you didnt like the press. We have the best press in the
world, and The Sun stands out as a gleaming example
of what newspapers shouild be.
As of his music, well The Sun says no one likes his music so l would advise getting your hearing checked!
Robbiex I feel sorry for Mike Leander, who co-wrote many of those hits and now must be suffering much loss of royalties and exposure, due to the convictions of his ex-writing partner.

Still I bet he's not doing too badly. I personally feel that if he is guilty he should serve his time and then once he is out, he should be allowed to have a clean slate and move on. It's not surprising that many sex offenders go on to re-offend because they are so
ostracized from society when they come out they don't have any chance of a normal life.
