you bring up an important point Honey...my parents never used physical punishment on any of us and I once looked into both sides of the family and found neither of my parents were physically punished or their parent's families were.

## this aside from the fact I was so adorable and well behaved I never needed any sort of discipline.

Which makes me think that physical punishment is a a "learned" activity and one of those sadder things that are taught through the generations..that violence can be used to solve a problem.

### I was caned however repeatedly by a demented English master for being a "class clown" and he seemed to take a bizarre delight as he backed away with a flushed red face and then launched himself on hapless pupils with a cane so fierce our fingers stung for hours. It definitely turned him on as he caned at least 3 kids a day.
