Try telling that to the people of Liverpool and Merseyside.

All of whom loudly and proudly sang 'You'll Never Walk Alone' the other night!

Favourite son Kenny Dalglish included - who just happened to be born in Scotland!

robbiex Two fantastic comebacks in the champions league semi-finals with both Liverpool and Spurs coming back from 3-0 on aggregate to win on aggregate and reach the champions league final. This is great for English football, or is it. The vast majority of the players are foreign, both managers are foreign and Liverpool is foreign owned. Liverpool football club has nothing to do with Liverpool, apart from the fact that they play their home fixtures there.

When Celtic won the European cup in 1967, all the players were born within 30 miles of Glasgow. These clubs have lost pretty much all their identity which is very sad indeed.
