Ghastly Grayling is paving the way to scrap HS2.

After messing up just about every post in government he has ever had...he's back on form...this time trying to find out if this vanity project will double in price to up to £100 billion!

I used to use the London to Birmingham line a lot, virgin trains already has a fast service going, and with a few adjustments could be even faster...so all that money to shave just how much time off a journey?

I also used the high speed trains around Europe on numerous occasions...much longer distances...and often not over built on terrain, which of course costs much more to develop....

Also when you equate cheap air travel into the equation...I just do not see the point in any more HS routes here...I can fly from London to Scotland for £20 off peak...its more than that from London to Dover...

...and talking of Dover....just how much money did Grayling waste on a ferry service over there?
