Barney France are doing a great job of hosting this world cup - which is expected to have close to 1 billion viewers worldwide.

In Canada four years ago - the 750 million mark was exceeded, and 11.7 million of us in the UK watched USA v England last evening.

All English Premier League teams now have a ladies' side - and professional leagues are being started in many new countries.

Very entertaining game so far, for those that don't object to people with vaginas playing sport. USA show there class and professionalism with 2 brilliant headed goals. They don't kick as hard as the men (the ball or the opponent), but this is still entertaining stuff. I also like the pundits Alex Scott, who is a beautiful intelligent Meghan Markle lookalike. Dion Dublin is the only male on show here and gives an unpatronizing analysis of the game. Thankfully Andy Gray and Richard Keys are not providing any commentary. I think the bbc should commit to their principles and bring out the big guns for the semi-final (i.e. Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer).

I don't hear any complaints about women football and personally I don't think people give a crap about the haters - if there are any. People can always switch off the set I suppose.

Football does nothing for me and never really did in the first place.
