And some comments made on 5 July. Could they possibly relate to the Jarratt case?

I've seen her website which is what she's been reduced to as those Hollywood offers never eventuated.

I think however the Jaratt case will be fascinating and I see he has a well known criminal lawyer Chris Murphy as his brief (I see Murphy in the same fish'n'chip shop in Bondi every Friday )

Murphy takes no prisoners. This case will be brutal and it will draw Tracey Spicer and Monahan in and this has been coming for a long time.

However..I reckon eventually there will be a settlement to avoid a trial and the fun will be spoiled.

hedda fascinating stuff Jo.

I think about 4 years ago I went to a daytime celebration for a small Sydney theater- Belvoir Street.

It was for all those in the theater world who had supported the theater for years.

Among the guests..Geoffrey Rush and Liz Mulliner.

Rush is very approachable and friendly and of course for the media he was the star attraction among many local notable theatre names.

Of course this was just before the abuse drama was to engulf him.

But Mulliner had been in the news about Robert Hughes and I studied her for a while. There was almost a circle about her..like a no-go zone.
And her eyes..looked positively haunted.
Jo Great to hear that John Jarratt was acquitted. Hope he wins his libel case. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with that.

That Robert Hughes case seems very murky. I remember watching an interview with his niece, who was also accusing him of abuse (the interview is still on YouTube), and being struck by how robotic she seemed, while being asked leading questions by the interviewer.

Back in 2014, the lady who runs the Support Justice for Rolf Harris Facebook page identified a number of curious parallels between the Robert Hughes and Rolf Harris cases, including not only that Hughes's accuser Sarah Monahan and Harris's accuser Tonya Lee gave paid pre-trial interviews to the same media outlets, but also the fact that the main accuser in the Harris case reportedly* contacted Liz Mullinar's Health for Life and also claimed he had abused her in a swimming pool and in a bedroom during a sleepover, just like the allegations against Robert Hughes.

* "Around the time the letters were sent to the Queen, a British woman contacted a victims’ charity Down Under called Heal for Life to accuse Harris of abuse."
www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/rolf-harri...-wrote-queen-3791122

The fact that the Mirror's own embedded link takes readers to an article about Rolf Harris's main accuser suggests that she was the person who the Mirror was implying had contacted Heal for Life and also written to the Queen. It would be logical if she was the one who had written to the Queen, as it was apparently Rolf Harris's performance at the Queen's June 2012 Diamond Jubilee concert that was the "final straw" for the main accuser, though she didn't actually report him, apparently to the NSPCC ("within weeks [of the October 2012 Savile allegations, police] had a tip from the NSPCC: a 47-year-old woman had told her counsellor she was sexually abused by Harris in her teens" source), until months later.
hedda The Aussie actor John Jarret found Not Guilty of rape on Friday is now suing News Corp journalist Jonathon Moran for libel.

I ran into Moran only last week and he seemed quite confident News Corp had his back..maybe not feeling so confident with today's sudden announcement. Rupert can be ruthless when he wants or , more to the point Lachlan Murdoch who has arrived back in Oz to run the show is reputed to be ten times tougher than Dad.

This will be fascinating. There is a former Australian broadcaster called Tracey Spicer who has been agitating for @MeToo like it's going out of style..making all sorts of wild claims..very recklessly I think and I think she may have had a finger in this case encouraging the claimant to complain to police after 40 years.

But I think not known by most..another also has been working with Spicer on encouraging "victims" etc to "come forward"...former actress Sarah Monahan who accused her co-actor Robert Hughes of abuse who was subsequently convicted.

It was shown in court that Monahan and her agent had email exchanges with Monahan demanding more and more money for selling her story pre-trial to tabloids as she wanted to become a "Hollywood producer" (never happened)

Monahan and her supporters demanded that famous actors like Cate Blanchett drop their agent, Hughes' agent wife Robyn Garner because of Hughes' conviction. They all ignored her.

And Robyn Gardner was in partnership with Liz Mullinar who together ran an agency handling Australia's top stars like Russell Crowe before Muliner suddenly up-stakes and opened a retreat after "memory" of child abuse by her high profile UK Anglican bishop father Reverend Stephan Hopkinson.

Muliner runs a "retreat " for "survivors" in NSW in an area she claims Satanic Pedophile groups run rampant. One of her "counselors" is...Sarah Monahan.

I'll be getting out the pop corn for this trial and will attend it eventually.
