Little Sausage Honey we know the best exponents of doing that...
JK2006 Very simply Robbie; it cannot help itself. Like the scorpion & the frog, it's its nature. The only thing that matters is a good story. Media never thinks about repercussions.

Why have I being going on about this since Wuhan in January?
My theory that, as with so much else such as sex abuse claims, the media inflated this from a trivial virus (but deadly to a few vulnerable people) into a plague that would "kill 50 million".
Like false claims of sex abuse, it's a good story. Like sex abuse (and many other "crimes") it gets exaggerated to make a better media story and, in the case of police and prosecution, to inflame righteous indignation in jurors and judges and get a huge sentence for a trivial offence.

Why would the media inflate a story, when it has direct negative consequences on their own lives. They too have to suffer lockdown restrictions with everyone virtually under house arrest, and they personally have suffered financial loss. Particularly the Printed press has suffered huge losses, as people are going out less and thus buying less newspapers. People can get all the Coronavirus news they want from the BBC, Itv, Channel 4 and sky etc.

I've started to venture beyond the lagoon and get on with life... still trying to keep a bit of a distance (as much as possible... tricky on public transport..)

When International movement opens up, I wanna get to somewhere sunny and nice...

And infect it!
