hedda Oh Stephen Fry wrote Me and My Girl?

I just loved it.

Saw a great production in Sydney ages ago but I missed the first part and came for the second half. A journo pal said "you're just in time..the second half opens with a real show stopper"..sure enough..The Sun has Got it's Hat On.

Such a joyful old fashioned musical that you left feeling so good.

I love unexpected events..remember very reluctantly going to see David Soul in the play Blood Bros (he'd told me to piss off in a Kings Cross restaurant a couple of weeks earlier) as I decided I loathed him.

But he was superb, so good as I told him gushingly afterwards at a little party hoping he wouldn't remember our previous meeting.

Going to bed now..I'm on Morphine today .

### Time to revive Me & My Gal when theatres can open again JK !!! Perfect upbeat musical to make everyone feel fab again.
JK2006 It was interesting; 50 years ago I felt one word was no longer acceptable and changed it to Negroes. My friend Stephen Fry, writing his musical Me and My Girl, changed the entire verse which, as a lyricist, I felt was wrong (it's like changing Picasso's blues to red). The only version to get airplay was mine (released as Nemo) and it did get loads. In fact a local BBC DJ got sacked for playing the original (because of that naughty word). But my version never turned into a hit due to sales being spread over years. So I've adapted it and rerelease it on July 1st.
hedda The Sun Has Got His Hat On ..always loved that song.
Little Sausage FanTasTik News jk, very pleased that you're back to putting out new singles/remixes..

I think a video of you cooking something in the kitchen to the tune could also be a winner..

Love the remix and the new main title

"The Lockdown In Over"
(The Sun Has Got His Hat On)
Jonathan King (Feat. Nemo)

I went too hastily to Apple Music to stream it but alas.. have to wait to July 1.

You know what would be amazing.. to re-launch UK Records International Ltd
for the new music streaming world..

Also, maybe ask your personal assistant James to make some short ~ 29 second ringtones for Apple iTunes iPhones
as they sell quite well, whereas song downloads is very minimal now.
The iPhone ringtone market is still reasonably viable.
You could have a Marimba version of "Everyone's Gone To The Moon" and other catalogue gems..

TikTok is a great short form entertainment platform and song promotion tool, often requires a lot of luck to really catch on..

If you did a crazy version of "Baby Shark" with a whacky video you could find that a big streamer and TikTokker

Recent TikTok viral hits
"Laxed (Siren Beat)"
then Jason Derulo took the tune and wrote lyrics to it called "Savage Love" and that's a mainstream hit as well as a TikTok smash..

Also Lil Nas X with "Old Town Road"

No doubt there's tons of others and hopefully "The Lockdown Is Over" will join the list..

Here's my little advise... keep song durations short.. say around 1:30 - 2:00 the reason is that if songs get played for their full durations
on Spotify and Apple Music they go up in the algorithm ratings and get more inclusions onto playlists.

TikTok is normally 15-30 second clips but I think 15 seconds is probably the more popular..
preferably the song needs a dance musical hook (with or without lyrics as instrumentals can work too).. as people love to do a dance routine to songs plus
cooking something to the music (it's true.. look up Laxed Siren Beat or Baby Shark on TikTok and you'll see what I mean.

Congrast's nevertheless jk, suddenly the future is looking helluva lot better..
