I thought the point of lockdown was to "flatten the curve" so that the health care system wouldn't be overwhelmed. That's an interesting article, but it doesn't say how the Swedish health care system coped. Did all those with Covid get the treatment they needed? Were some of the deaths due to people being abandoned to their fate?

For those interested this is an account of a Swedish hospital doctor. Some of the conclusions he draws:
4 months after start and only seeing people with Covid he now hasn't seen anyone with Covid in a month.
Virtually no one is now being infected
Covid has killed under 6000 in a country of 10 million and an annual death rate of 100 000 a " mere blip in terms of its effect on mortality".
It is "nonsensical to compare Covid to major pandemics" as the numbers will never get anywhere near there.
Attacks the media for making a drama out of antibody tests. The main defence against viruses is found in T cells but they are harder to test for and so aren't what we are testing.
(JK you may have wasted your money on your antibodies test but may have immunity in your T cells!)
Sweden did not impose lockdown and it is virtually over there. We are delaying the pain of getting it over with by ruining our economy and lives.
As soon as we come out lockdown as many who were going to die will die anyway.
In Sweden the death rate has been 0.12 of the population...

Great news that the Russians have a vaccine for Covid...
