I can't see police chasing burglar's, they will only give you a crime number. Then ask you to look on eBay or Gumtree for stolen items.
If you're mugged they will take a statement and that be that.

Good thing too - hopefully this means the fastest growing crime - the False Allegations Industry - is being attacked (as with Carl Beech & Jemma Beale). Thousands of victims of this Government and Police assisted crime.
