Wyot I wish I'd never put a thread up about infections. They are just a trifling, irrelevant distraction.

Here's what is not: 10 people died today in the UK and their deaths were possibly linked "with" Covid on the basis that they tested positive. If we assume a hitherto unheard of zero false positives this is 1 in every 6.3 million people. Yet we remain largely in lockdown.

Barney, it prevents some infections, not all infections.

Vaccines work by creating herd immunity, so the virus doesn't have enough hosts to get a grip. It doesn't make the individual immune.
