I did read the other day that for the first time in donkeys years the avg age of death is going down in the UK for both sexes. Not linked to Covid -the trend was their prior. Due to Gov cut backs, basically.

It is one hell of a story and a disgrace; but where are the opposition? It is so frustrating. (And yes it is driven regionally and it is of course not Surrey seeing the drop...). If dying younger isn't going to wake people up, what will?
md There’s not much point trying to change outer world conditions if emotions are not sorted first.

Yes if it is not making everyone believe they are about to die of an illness with a now 100% survival rate, it is death by inability to see a GP. 10 people could die 28 days after a dog bite and they would be banging on about imminent death by poodle. Of course you can get a bloody GP apt if you need it. Just as you will be able to get a turkey for Christmas....

"Oh yes we do".

A lot might go to the hospital without needing to, but the main thing that gets you admitted with covid is very low blood oxygen, and I don't know of a way to fake that.

Of course people are going to panic about illness when they don't have the reassurance of their own GP being available.
The fault is with those who have trashed the health service, not the patients.
