In 20 years - without urgent action now - a 1.5° increase in temperature will have occurred.

Most coral reefs will be virtually gone, with flooding and heatwaves happening regularly.

Agriculture will be curtailed and the world's future and economic plight will be in serious jeopardy.

And those annoying media tales of powerful people or movie stars flying in private jets as though it's hypocrisy which is nonsense.

The whole idea is to sustain and improve our way of life whilst tackling climate change.

And we should take a clue from China and India. Both surging ahead with renewable energy (whilst using fossil fuels) and will be way ahead of the rest of the world in 20 years.
Wyot The extremes and virtue signalling are why it won't work. It needs to be de-politicised, somehow. Like criminal justice needs to be. Like Covid should have been. I increasingly suspect that democracy in the age of twitter will be the ruin of us all....
