I'm sure this is an aspect of the failure ; one among many. The bottom line politically is that it is death if the slower in the country cotton on that our Covid deaths ("with", of course) were not all inevitable; if they realise that the Gov has no contingencies to cope now with seasonal spikes in corona and other viruses. If they realise that this - rather than a sci-fi type plague - is the reason for lockdown. If they realise they are pre-occupied with protecting their own careers rather than people.
