In a similar vein, I was sent a demo, only 4 weeks back, I liked the song, and on my email reply, I indicated that I liked singing it, and within two days, the vocal was replaced by my vocal. |

Isn't this sort of like The Postal Service?
Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie (great name!) has a side project whereby he and Dntel's Jimmy Tamborello record and send each other the vocals and music via the post (hence their name) but never actually meet? |

Actually it was desperation on my part! The bookings had come in, and and I had no `staff`, and so I scanned the most obvious links I could think of to find the musicians that I needed.The usual fixers had everybody busy, and I wanted people that were available for the whole date sheet and, bingo! it just worked. And a very inseperable bunch they have all become too. I have toyed with putting music together over the net by everybody, adding a bit and passing it on but I havent done it as yet.
But in answer to your question, as to how we all met, I searched for musicians, and all the musicians had advertised for work independently on the net. |

we're not a band but there are 4 of us all writing CD cover notes and researching/compiling for various record companies. We all made contact through the net as well.
How did you meet? was it deliberate? |

My entire band, of which I am working with met via the internet, I would be interested to hear from other bands that did the same, as I think it would make a fun article.
