Martin K I would love to agree, Mr or Mrs Visitor, but I cannot I am afraid. My skin colour would appear to be halfway between most peoples, and I have had friends whose skin colour I have never even noticed. Cultures , of different sorts, however , have allways fascinated me.
Where would we be without so many different influences to our societies? life would be very boring.....
In The Dark parents as you, those who live in you home, or the same country as you, those who support you favourite team, those you work with, people you feel look similar to you.

At some time in you life, you will have formed an opinion of somebody, based on their colour, and that is where racism begins.

Martin k Well you lot know me, I am certainly fascinated by the food, and culture,of anywhere, I remember reading in the seventies, and I think it was Patrick Moore who said it, that the next war , would be a race war, and it horrifies me to see that it would appear to be. I do not have a racist bone in my body, I simply do not understand racism. I often make glib sexist jokes, to keep in with british humour, but I could never mean it.
Unfortunately, I do beieve this "war" has been caused by a lack of understanding between humour and cultures.
It`s a shame .
To quote Joe Jackson..."If theres war between the sexes then ther`ll be no people left".
Sorry that was a bit deep, wheres the danish lager??
In The Know When I was last in Copenhagen there was a Tuburg beer factory just around the corner.

You never hear that name now in the UK, but it was by far the best knosn over there !
In The Know and the head of the Israeli terror squads is quoted on Teletext (p 113 I think) saying they now regret having encouraged the Yankers to "overthrow" Saddam.

He is quoted as saying that a strong dictatorship was preferable to the bloody uncontrollable mess they have now !
