Topic History of: Libya - the reality

JK2006 Some loonies feel the "rebels" have the majority support. Other loonies feel Gaddafi has the majority support. The reality is - as in the UK - most people don't give a fuck who's in charge; they just want efficient social services and allocation of budget.

As in the UK - you and I really don't care whether it's Tories, Labour, Coalition, Lib Dem, Nu Lab or whatever. Some of us vote grudgingly on the best image but in fact we simply find elections an irritating interruption to our daily lives; the "government" makes little difference. And we know the loud shouters get attention paid to them whereas the vast majority do not riot, loot or complain to the media. We simply get on with life and, like the vast majority of Libyans, hunker down, close our shutters and wait for the loonies to get tired and go away.
