robbiex Agreed, a well deserved winner, he seems like a lovely guy too.

However a poor showing by the bbc to make us watch the same programme all over again with a couple of minutes extra announcing the result. The bbc doesn't need to do this kind of thing, it's not driven by advertising.
JK2006 Well done Phil; terrific.

Now all we need is the special extra - roast barbecued scheduler.
robbiex I was so frustrated watching it this evening. I assumed that the winner would be announced this evening, since the final task had taken place. I can't beleive that they are having a whole show dedicated to just announcing the winner.

My tip would be Kirsty Wark, to make the 4th female winner in a row, following Nadia Sawalha, Liz MacLarnen, and lisa Faulkner. Her menu was intelligent and original.
Prunella Minge Yes, I can't believe they're padding this series out quite as much as they are. Come on Phil!
JK2006 Phil Vickery I reckon but we need to wait until Saturday night to find out... for me, I'd go to his restaurant like a shot.

MickyOne agrees with me and is, like me, annoyed they didn't announce the winner this afternoon.
