The Fat Controller You can't beat a Fred and Ginger classic! I wish they'd rerun those old Doris Day/Rock Hudson films too. The most attractive couple of all time. Tragedy what happened to Rock.
JK2006 Oh my God they killed Fred!
Not what I'd expect from a Fred and Ginger film - a tragic ending!
And a true story I gather.
What a terrific era for creative arts.
JK2006 The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle - with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers - marvellous and I'd never heard of it before, let alone seen it... from 1939, five years before I was born; at the start of World War 2 in which my Daddy fought.

I love BBC2 on Saturday afternoons.
