robbiex Watching glam rock at the bbc, the blurb says of the glitter band, "This is the first time that they ventured out in their own right". But who were they with before they went out on their own bbc, dare you not even mention his name. Half his name is in the band name anyway. BBC really stop been so spineless.

Chin and Chapman must be earning a few bob from these shows, they seem to have written half the songs from the glam rock era. Sweet, Mud, Suzi Quatro.

Not a dry eye in the house watching that duet.
JK2006 Yes I've downloaded the Bolan; will be fascinated; I used to nag him about not checking that the groupies he went with were over 16 (he liked them young).
PaulB I remember when 'Lolita' was released in the cinemas, Barry Norman told his viewers "Don't worry, if you were not a paedophile before you went into the cinema, you still won't be one when you come out".
(That's nothing to do with Glam Rock, but the sentiment is the same)

I caught part of the show, once I'd found out that it was on. I must admit, that's the first time I'd seen / heard Cilla and Marc doing a duet.
robbiex bbc 4 are having a special glam rock evening on bbc and it is very interesting so far. Kicking off with the hugely charismatic pop pixie Marc Bolan, and followed by Glam Rock at the bbc. How much will they feature of one of the biggest glam rock stars sometimes known as Paul Gadd, I would guess absolutely zero. Rewriting history in a stalinist manner. It is not just the bbc, channel 4 and itv would do the same, so scared of people writing in to complain. Not people that actually watched it, but because they were prompted by the sun or mail that this show was on. Most viewers of bbc4 are man enough to view convicted sex offenders.
