JK2006 I see it was Gerry Goffin and Jack Keller another terrific Brill Building writer (Aldon Music) who wrote Venus In Blue Jeans.
JK2006 Bobby Vee - a brilliant singer rather eclipsed in history - A Forever Kind Of Love (I think by Goffin and King) - who managed to get his hands on some terrific songs.
JK2006 And John Barry, of course, the genius behind Adam - both now departed from us although their music still lives on.
JK2006 Poor Me on SOTS - Adam was my first great idol - even before Buddy Holly, Gene Pitney and Roy Orbison. I met him years later in a hotel restaurant near Warners Music in Kensington and told him what a fan I was - he was genuinely delighted. A truly nice man - and some great hits from the very early 60s.
