andrew I did pick up Dr Hook greatest hits LP in a charity shop, yes it's exactly what it says on the tin, but I would only call it a taster in my opinion.

Strawbs Greatest Hits is a ridiculous concept as they are known for their albums.
PaulB I used to like them in the 70s because I didn't have much money, or shelf space.

You will be surprised what you will find on albums rather than compilations.
