JK2006 And a wonderful Gladys Knight track Didn't You Know You'd Have To Cry Sometime; I often felt she challenged Aretha as best female vocalist in the world; she has incredible vocal ability; she interprets like nobody else. I saw her on stage once; a tiny figure heavily pregnant with a constant huge smile on her face, belting out her fabulous interpretation of great melodies.
JK2006 An obscure and rather good early Jimmy Ruffin track "Don't Feel Sorry For Me". Although I like Tony Blackburn and admire his love for soul music I miss the Brian Matthew approach; these strange Phil Swern Motown moments are the best on the show.
