Green Man This morning I was playing some original CD releases from late 1980s and early 1990s. Then I played several remastered releases that I have.

Is it just me who finds remastered overrated ? Graceland remastered sounds too bassy and loud, whilst I find the original CD release perfect.

I have all the Alabama albums on vinyl and CD, some later date compilations from mid 2000s or so. The old hits they had sound too clean and polished on these compilations. The original CDs have the roughness that sound very natural.

Southern Star is a great example.
