Besides, these countries may not be democracies (yet) but are relatively stable.

If we don;t halt IS they will sweep through Jordan and right up to the river Jordan - then we WILL have a World War ! "Israel" will attack them and then Iran will attack "Israel".
It's a plan to avoid the main people involved,namely Syria,Lebanon and Iran.
Most of the states he invited have been responsible for keeping the mess going.ISIS gets a lot of cash from Gulf state donations,Turkey turns a blind eye to men and equipment flowing through it's borders etc,I know as I lived in Cizre where most of the stuff passes through. |

This is what happens when you let the Russians / Syrians walk all over you last time, Obama - if you had stuck to your "red line" they would not be emboldened as they now are.
Russia would NOT have invaded Ukraine etc.

I was RIGHT over Syria (and they ARE now having to do what I suggested almost three years ago) .... and we are going to see a World War centred on the Middle East, believe me !
The ISIS mess is because the USA and UK invaded Iraq and destabilised the region.More unilateral stupidity will just make things worse.
Russia dislikes ISIS as much as the rest of us,but sees the reality of the situation,and wants any action to have international recognition first.
Did you notice that all the states Mr Kerry gathered were not democracies? So we'd simply be using one set of bigots to remove another...hardly a major achievement in the scheme of things!! |
