No it gets less publicity even than Brits and Grammys.

I have to disagree with you regarding The Ivors. I would suggest it is probably the most prestige of all the UK Award shows, and by song writers (who are often the performers too), consider winning an Ivor up there with winning a Brit or a Grammy. It may not get the same level of publicity because they deliberately don’t allow TV cameras into the event. The awards are for song writing and award winners are voted for only by their fellow song writers. I’ve been to every Ivors since 1994 and I think I can count on one hand the number of times a recipient hasn’t been there to receive their award. In fact a few years ago, I know of a British artist flying in from Los Angeles that morning and returning the same evening. When I asked her why, she said she wouldn’t have missed it for the world. (She didn’t know she’d won beforehand, but I suspect her manager did!).

The Ivors is, in my opinion, the most prestigious UK Music Industry Award Ceremony.
JK2006 No I can't be bothered to photograph the bloody thing Alexis - and if I did it would be called a forgery! That was why I put clippings and cuttings from my scrap books into 65 My Life So Far; anyone really interested can read them and see what happened. The trolls who like to denigrate my (extremely minor) accomplishments will simply sneer and snarl "fake". And no, I never "discovered" the Rollers - as anybody can read in my book or my biog here - I was asked to produce them (I was the top producer in the UK by then) by Dick Leahy who ran their label, and did so, using session musicians and singing most of the backing vocals myself, as anyone with ears can hear. They were not the finest of musicians at the time.

I "discovered" Genesis - and named them, as well as producing them. I "discovered" 10cc and named them but never produced them; they produced themselves. Trolls like to misquote and then claim I lied when I never actually said it. Why start trying to convert the mentally afflicted? Let them believe what they want to believe! Am I lying about Una Paloma Blanca? No, nor about anything else. But it really doesn't matter. There are far more important and current topics (see my Grammys thoughts).
Alexis They want you to photograph your award - can you do that? Also they say you didn't discover the Rollers. You did, didn't you?
andrew I thought a lot of people fancied me turned out they just liked me lol.

You don't fancy Mike just a little bit JK ?
JK2006 And hints that I might have been gay and might have fancied him. In yer dreams, Mike, in yer dreams!
