Pattaya Was in France today. At Calais port there were lots of people and vehicles heading into the UK,from a number of countries.
Those alone must be bringing in some revenue to the UK.
andrew I doubt the Tour de France has cost less than the Olympics and there is no white elephant.

The alternative is ......

btw - your "sign-off is a dead giveaway SP17 (or WD40 or whatever you call yourself today !)!

I'm not with ITK on big sporting events; I love them and like watching them. On Saturday in France all the wedding guests were commenting on the beauty of Yorkshire and saying they had decided to come and visit. The boost for tourism must be fantastic.

IF it happens ! (Remember the Olympics were supposed to boost visitor numbers - yet the hotels complained they were quieter than normal !)

Must be cheaper, too, to simply run a "come to Yorkshire" advertising campaign !

Bring back "Betty On Her Boat" Jubilee "river pageant" - now that was hilarious !!!!
Huntsview626 You're learning quickly Harvey - the facts are often unimportant on here.
