I suspect, however much it seems like it is a joke, that 'soggy bottom' is a legitimate baking term in daily useage, and therefore oft repeated.............of course, it may be that Mel and Sue are entirely bereft of proper gags to need to guffaw at its 'base' meaning more than they ought to
