hedda I've known Scots Jim Lumsden & Gordon Mays for years. Multi-millionaires, they own a very successful luxury hotel and popular nightclub in the ritzy section of Pattaya with the neon sign saying Boyztown.

Lumsden does a drag show ala Danny La Rue. They're very personable but..put it this way, though they are really nice to their mums I wouldn't get on their bad side ( not that I ever do with anyone-even ITK)

They have been dogged in the past by intrepid Bangkok based Glitter Hunter reporter Andrew Drummond, late of the News Of The World due to some unfortunate accidents that happened to 2 of their partners. One who died ina fire & another busted for drugs he claim were planted on him.

Scurrilous tales appeared about them in NoTW and respected (?) Scottish tabloids.

So they sued Drummond for criminal libel- as one can in Thailand- for damage to their business.

They won- he lost but appealed and it was overturned.

Alas for "Bulldog" Drummond now Lumsden & May have appealed in the Thai Supreme Court where Only Englishmen & Mad Dogs dare to venture.

As always there is dedicated team of ex-pat (mainly) Brits (the huge German community is far more practical) who still believe they know best and import their Daily Mail / Telegraph views & morals demanding the locals bend to their thinking which will never happen. When in Rome etc etc..

developing....

(in his heyday Bulldog would have been the first port of call for Brit tabloids for the dreadful murder of 2 British backpackers in Koh Tao- alas a new breed of young Thai stringers have left him eating their dust)
