I have seen a lot of people say that Mike Leander was the one who was the big gun on the early gitter hits, but always had my doubts, i mean Mike wrote a lot of songs for Gary in the 1960s, but none were hit's, until Gary started co-wrigthing the songs with him. Neither did he find another act near the stature of Gary Glitter (the closest he came was with the backing groups own chart records). I mean, I don't know who did what exactly, I wasn't there when songs such as "Leader Of The Gang" or "Hello, Hello, I'm Back Again" were written and recorded, but personally I suspect both men made great input into the music. |

You are joking right?
You seriously believe that looking at pictures of children being sexually abused is ok? |

oooooooooooooooh you cant say that, anyone would think
you didnt like the press. We have the best press in the
world, and The Sun stands out as a gleaming example
of what newspapers shouild be.
As of his music, well The Sun says no one likes his music so l would advise getting your hearing checked! |

I feel sorry for Mike Leander, who co-wrote many of those hits and now must be suffering much loss of royalties and exposure, due to the convictions of his ex-writing partner.
Still I bet he's not doing too badly. I personally feel that if he is guilty he should serve his time and then once he is out, he should be allowed to have a clean slate and move on. It's not surprising that many sex offenders go on to re-offend because they are so
ostracized from society when they come out they don't have any chance of a normal life. |
